In Revelation 18:4 it is the command of God to come out of her My people.
Revelation 18:4
4 And I heard another voice from heaven saying, "Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest youreceive of her plagues.
The word come in the Strongs Concordance number 1831 in the Greek dictionary meaning: come (out), depart (out of), escape, get out, go away. So have you ever considered who the "her" is we, as God's people, are to get out of or escape from? Verse 5 in chapter 17 of Revelation gives us her name.
Revelation 17:5
5 And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Notice God calls her a harlot and the mother of all harlots and the abominations of the earth. We should not want to be a part of her! From that description, we should feel repulsed by her. To begin our search to understand her identity, let us back up and read 17:1 and 2.
Revelation 17:1-2
1 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, "Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters,
2 with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication."
So we see she commits fornication with the Kings of the earth or heads of governments as well as the people they rule.
Now let us look at a scripture in Daniel 7:23 to see who the kings are that she fornicates with.
23 "Thus he said: 'The fourth beast shall be a fourth kingdom on earth, which shall be different from all other kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, trample it and break it in pieces.
So the beast of Revelation is none other than the kingdoms of man.
Now let us go back to Revelation 13:1.
1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea (the sea of humanity), having seven heads (perfect rule) and ten horns (complete authority), and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name (Satan is the force behind man's kingdoms).
Do you see prophecy being fulfilled in these scriptures? Let us now look at Revelation 17:3 and 4 for a further prophetic fulfillment.
Revelation 17:3-4
3 So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. (So the harlot Babylon rides the back of the beast or helps direct it.)
4 The woman was arrayed in purple (a color used to denote royalty) and scarlet (red symbolizes the blood of Christ, she's religion), and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls (we are God's treasure, she is made up of God's people), having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. (She encourages interaction with the beast and she is only beautiful on the outside. Inside, and behind closed doors, she is evil.)
Because her sheep are involved with the world and support its systems, they are drawn into the wickedness of their culture and allowed to think God accepts this. It is all a part of Satan's strategy. It is called assimilation and God's people have almost completely lost their identity. Revelation 16:12 through 14 begins to give insight as to how dangerous Babylon really is.
Revelation 16:12-14
12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared.
13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon (Satan), out of the mouth of the beast (man's systems), and out of the mouth of the false prophet (the church).
14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
The demons will gather those that are a part of man's systems, and all the religions that support them, to fight Christ and His true church. The false prophet you see is the voice of the compromising, hypocritical church as she preaches her false doctrines and promotes the lies of Satan, costing God's people their salvation by allowing them to walk in unrighteousness. She backs the beast, endorses their actions and encourages her people to do likewise. They become therefore a part of Babylon and the beast, and are absorbed into them. She fools the elect of God because she is good and evil like her master.
WAKE UP CHURCH
So Mystery Babylon is the apostate church. We that see ourselves as God's family must wake up, open our spiritual eyes and ears, quit defending denominations, rituals and traditions of man, and obey the opening scripture to come out of her. Second Corinthians 6:17 tells us to be a separate people and come out from the unclean. A harlot and fornicator is definitely unclean. The trumpets are blowing warning and false doctrine (her fruit) is being exposed so you can recognize her. Let me ask this, is her rotten fruit in your place of worship? Look carefully, as she will soon be destroyed along with all found in her. In fact, Apostle John, the author of Revelation, saw a vision of her demise in chapter 18 verses 2 and 20.
Revelation 18:2 & 20
2 And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons (remember the unclean spirits like frogs?), a prison for every foul spirit (the evil forces found in Ephesians 6:12 that we are to fight not join), and a cage for every unclean and hated bird! (They, like vultures, wait for the spirits of God's people to die so they can pick the bones of dead men.)
20 "Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets, for God has avenged you on her!" (She has always hated and lashed out at those that establish God's Kingdom and speak truth.)
In Revelation 19:2 it also says:
2 For true and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He has avenged on her the blood of His servants shed by her."
IN CLOSING
Come out, escape, depart, get away from Babylon, the Bride of Satan, so you can be among those that are chosen as New Jerusalem, Sion, the Bride of Christ.
Revelation 19:6-9 describes this happy event.
6 And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! (The kingdoms of this world will become the Kingdom of our God.)
7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready."
8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. (the corrupt, the unrighteous are not found here)
9 Then he said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!'" And he said to me, "These are the true sayings of God."
