As we saw from the previous post, "Heaven Versus Paradise", at death we end back up in paradise, Adam and Eve's original home. Why then did we have to leave it in the first place? It's a story we all for the most part understand, but perhaps the ending has a little different twist than what we've been shown or taught before. As we know, man was created to live on earth and have dominion over all. He was to exist in a beautiful garden like environment and to go forth from there, subduing the whole earth, making all of it a garden, as they multiplied in number. The whole planet in other words was to be subdued and made into a paradise or park like condition for God's earthly family to live in. They did have one restriction however, that would test their obedience.
15 Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.
16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;
17 butofthe tree of theknowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."
Man, as we know, disobeyed by eating the knowledge from the tree of good and evil resulting in the following scriptures:
24 So He(God)drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.
So man was driven out of the garden, and the only way for re-entrance was to be like the thief on the cross. Man had to give up his life to re-enter paradise. Or is there another way? Let us look at what Romans 6 says.
Romans 6:4 & 9
4 Therefore we were buried with Him(Jesus)through baptism intodeath(we die here as Adam's seed), that just asChrist was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. (We are new creatures, born through God so through Jesus we've been given a way to re-enter Eden or Paradise without giving up our new physical life.)
9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Deathnolonger has dominion over Him.
Now let us examine I Corinthians 15:52-55.
I Corinthians 15:52-55
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For thiscorruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptiblehas put on incorruption, and thismortalhas put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory."
55 "O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?"
What a promise! It is predestined some will be made immortal because they have truly become incorruptible. In other words they are no longer a part of Adam, or they have severed all soul ties and were born again. They are therefore no longer cursed for their sin, or the sins of their ancestors, and as new creatures they remain separated from the world and its systems in their hearts. They are helping to establish God's covenants and are busily working to build His Kingdom. They are overcomers whose reward we see in Revelation 2:7.
7 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomesI will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midstof theParadise of God."' (The tree of life is in Paradise)
So, one more time, where was the location of that tree? Genesis 2:9 tells us plainly.
9 And out of the ground the LORD God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden(which is here on earth), and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
So the garden is undisputedly the Paradise of God and if we are overcomers, we are granted access to paradise once again! We see then, Satan did not utterly defeat mankind in the garden through Adam and Eve as it has appeared all this time. God had other plans from the beginning and He cannot be defeated. He would eventually take man full circle, back to paradise to live just as He originally planned. Those that have already died are there now with the Lord and the thief that was on the cross. They are waiting for us to overcome Satan's temporary world and walk through to join them.
II Corinthians 4:18
18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seenare temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Picture a double exposure photograph. One image overlays the other. That is how I see this present world that Satan governs in relation to the kingdom and man's original garden. It's there, it's the real thing under all the fantasy built by the knowledge of the tree of good and evil. The very intellect we are patted on the head for, or given stars as children when we excel in the world's knowledge, is covering the kingdom of God, and veils the way to the tree of life. It traps us in this realm where sickness, death, poverty and sorrow reign over man. Every time we reveal a truth however, we peel back a little of the veil, exposing light from the Kingdom. Every peel helps us see a little more, and allows us to get a little closer to the Tree of Life. Guess where all this starts? Scripture says in our hearts!
21 nor will they say, 'See here!' or 'See there!' For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you."
Angels make sure those born of Adam do not re-enter as they have been fed from the knowledge of the tree of good and evil. Truth from the Tree of Life will also stand as a sword in their way, but will at the same time cut through the false doctrine for the born again to gain access.
Paradise is veiled from us at this time by the lies and false doctrines of the church. As the sword of truth chops through this veil, those that love the Word will begin to shed themselves of the knowledge put forth from the tree of good and evil. Those that are in paradise already know this is truth. They are pulling for us to make it, praying for us to be overcomers, excitedly waiting for us to be the ones that return full circle to paradise as the glorious church, the Church Triumphant. Together, with us, the Church Eternal unites and comes together as one big family of God, back in the garden with the Tree of Life.
