Like the brazen serpent, in the wilderness we see
Jesus high upon the cross to heal humanity.
As Eve was taken from the side of Adam, the first man,
The church was birthed from the side of God,
as the spear pierced the Lamb.

Then a mighty wind came rushing to fill the upper room,
Tongues of flame danced on the church, above each head it loomed:
The master's spirit entered in, His gifts brought her to life,
She was molded to His image and prepared to be His wife.

But those that formed the early church, were sown into the ground:
You see a grain must fall and die, before its fruit abounds.
These early Christians gave their lives that we may live today:
We're a hybrid seed, a cross between humanity and Yahweh.

We're a holy nation, a royal priesthood, His special treasure,
