The feasts are God’s appointed times set aside to reveal God’s knowledge and the works He completed in the supernatural on our behalf before He rested. Rosh Hashanah therefore, like all the rest listed in Leviticus 23, contains revelation that will help us to grow in knowledge to the full stature of Christ. Seeking this knowledge must become our main focus so the body of Christ can unitedly come together in Truth to lead the world’s people to His Kingdom. If we want to see the Kingdom established and the covenant promises begin to bless humanity, then we must allow this end time knowledge to change and mature us into a body the Lord can use.
Did you know before God rested 7,000 years ago He completed the plan for the restoration of all creation? These glorious works will be made visible to the world through the lives of those that will completely separate from the world and humbly lay down their works to do His. It is Christ in us that will make all this happen, but He cannot use a body composed of people that are ignorant of God’s works. You see, His plan is to harvest and destroy all that has been built from the knowledge of the Tree of Good and Evil. He will separate wheat from the tares. He considers all that man’s intellect has accomplished dead works as the foundation of their thinking was laid when Eve chose Satan’s wisdom. Their thinking is therefore tainted, it is evil. But, through the knowledge of Christ a new heaven, one without rebels, and a new earth or society here on earth without lawless ones in control, will emerge. God is sovereign. His Kingdom will come, and His will shall be done through His body.
God is a Spirit that came through one body, Jesus, to redeem man from his sins and relieve him of its penalty, restoring at the same time the intimate relationship they once enjoyed. But now, He needs a much bigger body, one the whole world can see so they too can make the choice to become a part of the Kingdom. A body that will do far greater things, because its goal is so much bigger, a new heaven and new earth! All creation will be restored, renewed, reinstated to its original order as it was before the fall of man through us! The head of Christ’s body has been forming. The barley crop, symbolic of God’s government, is mature. David’s Tabernacle is being restored to guide and lead the flock. The government of God is being placed on the shoulders of His body, symbolized by the wheat, even now. The body of Christ is very close to being the full stature of Christ, to get the job done!
Acts 15:16-18 speaks of this.
16 ‘After this I will return and will rebuild the tabernacle of David (God’s priests were no longer recognized as His government), which has fallen down; I will rebuild its ruins, and I will set it up (He gave some apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers);
17 So that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, even all the Gentiles who are called by My name, says the Lord who does all these things.’
18“Known to God from eternity are all His works (As stated before, God has a beautiful plan that is already fulfilled in the supernatural and we have the awesome opportunity to bring it to fruition).
The feast of Rosh Hashanah is right around the bend. A late summer harvest of God’s people will again be gathered. Trumpets are being blown to teach God’s promises and covenants. They blow to warn of the deception, false doctrines and lies that precious people are being fed so they too can repent for their wrong thinking and dead works. They are blown or sounded to give direction to their daily lives. They are blasted also to guide them through the decline of man’s systems as we are entering the dawning of a new era. God will sit as the Great Shepherd judging His sheep, separating those that do not measure up from those that will harmoniously melt into His Kingdom and love Him. They must be taught what to repent of and how to become a part of the hybrid seed, the seed of Abraham to whom all is promised.
38 The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one.
39 The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels.
40 Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age.
41 The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness,
From Rosh Hashanah to the Feast of Atonement is known as the ten days of awe. These days were created especially for us to take a good look inside. Where do we fail God? As individuals we must thoroughly search ourselves to make sure we fit into the Lord’s body. Remember, He is a holy God. Are we like Him, or are we in nature and action more like the prince of this world, Satan? Are we gentle, kind, loving like the Father, or are we self-centered, cruel, all about what we want and need? How could we possibly be a part of the restoration of all of creation if that is our nature? Father sees us as one big family He placed over all He created for earth as caretakers. We have failed Him miserably, but things are changing rapidly. We must make sure we are changing with it. If we are unloving, hard-hearted, a loving God cannot use us to manifest His desires for perfection and harmony. If we are busy making our own plans how can we live His?
II Corinthians 13:5 encourages us to use wisely Rosh Hashanah’s ten days of awe.
5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? — unless indeed you are disqualified.
If Jesus is in His people, then we all have a place we are called to in His body, but we must be raised up, or trained in that call to properly work and function within His plan. Many do not even realize they have a part. They go to church, for the most part on the wrong day, simply sit in pews, pay their tithes and go home. The Trumpet is being blown loud and clear through God’s government however. It is a wakeup call. Could even be the last! Only God knows. Hurry, find a ministry that recognizes the prophetic. God, through His prophets, human trumpets, the mouthpiece of God, will place us in our proper position through the prophetic word and expose what must be changed in our lives. Are we beginning to see why this feast, known as the Feast of Trumpets, must not only be celebrated, but personally experienced?
To understand the dates of the feasts we should know that there are two calendars. One for the sacred holy days, one for the keeping of civil events. Rosh Hashanah falls in Tishrei, the first month of the civil calendar. Therefore, this feast is also referred to as the Head of Days, being thought of much like the world’s New Year. It’s a time to start anew, reflect on our personal lives. Ready ourselves for the next feast, where one day a worldwide Jubilee will be announced, at the final feast of Atonement, so we can truly abide in Him and He in us at the feast of Tabernacles. This year Rosh Hashanah is September 5th, Atonement, September 14th, and Tabernacles, September 19th.
As there have been many Rosh Hashanah’s previously celebrated, there have been many in-gatherings of God’s people over the years. They were harvested and then reseeded into Kingdom soil, tithed to God so to speak through physical death.
24 Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.
But again, there will come a Rosh Hashanah that will be followed by an eternal Jubilee where the human race will be set free of the enemy and his influence on all creation will cease. This crop will be gathered and forever set free of this world and time. No more sowing and reaping in death. This harvest will be the in-gathering of the sacred seed of Abraham, the barley symbolic of the head and the wheat symbolic of the body that has matured to form the full stature of the body of Christ. This crop becomes one in the Seed, Jesus, who has already died on the cross. This Seed, along with His whole body, is therefore an eternal Seed, immortal!
16 Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ.
This is a crop that is perhaps in the field even now, that has died into His death at baptism and has resurrected to new life. A crop that has grown and matured to His full measure and stature, it stands tall and in His image as an incorruptible crop, ready for harvest and to be united into one house. Yes, as individuals we are Abraham’s seed through baptism into Christ, but united as His family we are one body, the body of the Seed!
29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
I Corinthians 12:13
13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body (new creatures, not Adam) – whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free – and have all been made to drink into one Spirit (resulting in the family of God).
Nationalities, nations, classes of people, denominations, differences of any kind are a part of the knowledge of the world, not a part of the knowledge of God released in this end time, nor are they any part of His predestined works. At this moment we are experiencing God’s grace, but hear me, we can trample His good will, abuse His love and grieve His Spirit, as we see in Galatians 5:19-21.
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,
20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,
21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Would a look in the mirror reveal some of these traits?
Hebrews 6:4-6 warns,
4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift (salvation), and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit (filled with the Spirit),
5 and have tasted the good word of God (truth from the Tree of Life, knowledge of God) and the powers of the age to come (operated in the gifts of the Spirit or personally experienced them through others),
6 if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.
So we can see there are those that have been baptized, filled with the Spirit of God and may have even worked in the gifts of the Spirit that are simply not a part of the body of Christ contrary to what many have been taught. Proof is found in Matthew 7, 21-23.
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
In fact, Jesus tells us those that remain in the dead church of Revelation 3:5 are not even in the book of Life, let alone a part of His body! A trumpet sounding warning is blowing if we will listen. Repent, be open to change. Time to grow up, mature, ripen for the harvest quickly! Allow God to reveal to you where you have fallen short of His approval, repent and approach Atonement with a pure heart. Circumcise yourself from the world so you won’t be harvested with it!
Again, can you see why the feasts of God are worth studying, understanding, and experiencing? There is so much truth in them to be gleaned, and precious promises to be thankful for, and yes, direction and guidance, especially necessary today as we see the world’s systems coming down. The last meals served from Satan’s tables are being served. Tainted wisdom, the world’s holidays, the feasts from the Tree of Good and Evil, are quickly drying up and a real feast is soon to be celebrated. This one is catered by God, with dainties from the Tree of Life, served to those gathered by God’s angels.
By the way, did you know the harvest meal held by the Pilgrims in America in 1620, known as Thanksgiving today, was actually a celebration of Rosh Hashanah, or the feast of Trumpets? Our forefathers celebrated the feasts! Today, thanks to the enemy and the religions it has spawned, it has lost its name, its meaning and even its date, but we know better, don’t we!
In closing, remembering Rosh Hashanah is also call the Feast of Trumpets, let us read one last scripture.
I Corinthians 15:52-55
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound (the end of this age), and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we (who are alive in Christ the Seed) shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
55 “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory (over the Seed and His Body)?”
Speaking of the body of Christ, it is taught by the sages that Adam was originally created about the same time of this feast 7,000 years ago, hmmm … I Corinthians 15:45 calls Jesus the last Adam …..
Happy Rosh Hashanah!
